‘WEAPONS’ IN EARLY TALKS FOR A PREQUEL

One of the year’s best horror movies is one step closer to pre-production, as talks aboutWeapons suggest a prequel may soon be in the works. Writer and director Zach Cregger and actress Amy Madigan, who played Aunt Gladys, are open to working on it.

“I have another idea for something in this world that I’m kind of excited about. I’m not going to do it next, but I do have an idea and I’d like to see it on screen one day.” – Zach Cregger

Zach Cregger cannot focus on a Weapons prequel just yet, as he is currently working on a new Resident Evil film and another original project titled Flood. Only time will tell before we can be sure if the people who made Weapons will return to make the prequel a reality. But the talks of a possible new installment is enough to give us hope to see another truly original movie on the big screen.
